How an engagement works
Describe the matter.
Plain language is sufficient. If it sits outside Helios's scope, the reply says so and, where possible, points toward a better fit.
First conversation.
One hour, with Dr. Silverman, to establish whether the problem is real, defined, and addressable — and at what depth an engagement should run.
Scoped work.
If there is a fit, the engagement is defined around the specific question, with deliverables stated at the outset: an assessment, a model, a design, a system, or continuing counsel.
Handover.
Models, assumptions, designs, and reasoning remain with the client. The work is structured to transfer capability, not to create dependence.
The first test of a specialist is whether the first conversation is useful.
